Jennifer D. Collins, CMP, is president of The Event Planning Group, LLC (TEPG), an award-winning event management company that helps corporate, non-profit and government clients build relationships and communicate key values. Jennifer has built the company’s transformational approach to event management fusing design, logistical execution and effective messaging, creating meaningful events that make a powerful statement.
Jennifer’s dynamic business acumen has also been recognized nationally. For the fourth consecutive year, the Washington Business Journal has named The Event Planning Group one of the Top 25 Meeting and Event Planning companies in the Washington, D.C. region. She was named the 2009 Outstanding Women’s Business Enterprise for the DC Region by the Women Presidents’ Educational Organization (WPEO-DC); The Maryland/DC Minority Supplier Development Council awarded the company the 2009 Supplier of the Year and in 2008, Enterprising Women Magazine also recognized TEPG with its 2008 Enterprising Women of the Year Award.
As an active industry spokesperson and entrepreneurial advocate, Jennifer serves on the education and training committee of the Maryland/District of Columbia Minority Supplier Development Council; she is an advocate for the WPEO-DC and is past president of the Greater DC Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO).
